Tree Program (Annual - Beginning 2009):

In 2009, we have started a tree program at Mt. Olivet.  Many of our trees our very old, and many have been damaged or fallen down during storms or have become ill and unsightly.  This year, we started a tree campaign to remove old stumps and to cut down old, unsightly trees AND to replace them with new trees.

In September 2009, eleven new trees were planted in our cemetery: four weeping willows, two brandywine red maples, two crescendo red maples, and three weeping cherry trees.  It is our plan to continue to add a few trees a year to supplement trees that have been lost over the years. The following year, another handful of trees were planted on our grounds.

In the two years since we started this program, seven of these new trees have been donated by families in memory of an individual.  Please contact our office to receive more information regarding how you can donate a tree.
